Most privacy policies are long because the company is doing a lot with your data. This one is short for the opposite reason.

The short version

We collect what you type into our contact form, plus anonymous, aggregated statistics about which pages get visited and how fast they load. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and nothing that follows you to other websites. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell anything to anyone, and we will not add you to a mailing list.

The longer version below exists because you are entitled to specifics, not because there is much to hide.

What we collect, and when

The information you actively give us is whatever you choose to send through the contact form:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name, if you give one
  • A budget range and timeline, if you pick them
  • Whatever you write in the message field

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages people visit and how quickly those pages load. This is deliberately the least invasive option available: it sets no cookies, does not use a persistent identifier, does not follow you to other sites, and does not let us identify any individual visitor.

What we see is counts — this page was viewed this many times, it loaded in this many seconds on mobile. We use it for two things only: knowing which pages are worth improving, and catching it when the site gets slow for real people rather than on our own machines.

Because it does not store or read anything on your device and cannot identify you, no cookie banner is required for it. If we ever switch to something that does track individuals, this page changes first and a consent banner comes with it.

Why we hold it

To reply to you, and to have a record of the conversation if it turns into a project. That is the entire purpose. If you are in the UK or EU, the lawful basis is legitimate interest — you contacted a business expecting a reply — and, where a project follows, performance of a contract.

We do not use your details for marketing. We do not have a newsletter. We will not follow up repeatedly if you go quiet.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is delivered to our inbox by an email service (Resend) and stored in our email provider's system, the same way any email you send us would be. Our website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and diagnostics, and which provides the anonymous analytics described above. We do not use either to profile visitors.

Nobody else receives your information. We do not sell, rent or share it with advertisers, data brokers or partners.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies at all — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The site stores a single value in your browser's session storage, remembering that you have already seen the opening animation so you do not sit through it twice. It contains no personal information, it is not sent anywhere, and it disappears when you close the tab.

Typefaces are served from our own servers rather than a font network, so loading this page does not tell any third party that you visited.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within roughly two years. Records connected to actual projects are kept longer, because tax and accounting rules require it.

If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask and we will do it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to object to processing and to request that we restrict it.

Email contact@techchoom.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you are entitled to complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Where your information goes

We operate from India and work with clients internationally, so your information may be handled outside your own country. Where that involves personal data from the UK or EU, we rely on the safeguards offered by the providers we use for email and hosting.

Changes to this page

If we ever add analytics or any other tool that collects information about visitors, we will update this page before doing so, not afterwards. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
