Website maintenance and support that answers

Something already exists, it matters, and right now nobody is looking after it. That's most of the businesses who come to us for this.

  • Always online
  • Fast fixes
  • No surprises

The problem

The person who built our site disappeared and we can't even log in.
Practice manager

It's more common than you'd think, and it's usually recoverable. The uncomfortable part is that the site has probably been running without security updates for a year or two. We start by getting you back in control of your own accounts — before anything else, because everything else depends on it.

What you get

Everything that's included.

Not a list of intentions. These are the things that exist at the end, and they're all in the price.

  • Getting you access to your own domain, hosting and accounts
  • Security and software updates applied and tested, not just applied
  • Backups that are actually checked by restoring one
  • Uptime monitoring, so we usually know before you do
  • Speed kept under control as content builds up over time
  • A named person who replies — not a ticket queue
  • A short monthly note in plain English on what was done
  • No minimum term

How it runs

What happens, and when.

  1. Week 1

    Take stock

What you've got, what's out of date, what's at risk, and crucially whether you actually control your own accounts. You get this assessment either way.

  2. Week 2

    Make it safe

Access recovered, updates applied, backups working and verified. The urgent things first.

  3. Ongoing

    Keep it that way

Regular updates, monitoring, speed checks, and fixing things as they come up.

  4. Quarterly

    Look ahead

A short conversation about what's coming — things going out of support, growing slowness, worthwhile improvements.

Is this you?

We'd rather tell you now than in month two.

This is for you if

  • Nobody is currently looking after something your business relies on
  • Your original developer has gone quiet or moved on
  • It's getting slower, or you're not sure it's being backed up
  • You want one person to call when something breaks

It's probably not if

  • You want a full rebuild — that's a different piece of work
  • You need someone on call through the night, which we don't offer
  • You'd rather only call when it's already broken
  • The thing is so far gone that maintaining it costs more than replacing it

By industry

What this looks like in your sector.

The approach is the same everywhere. What changes is which problems come up first and what matters most.

How we price it

You'll know the number before you commit.

A fixed monthly amount agreed up front, based on what you've got and how much looking after it needs. No minimum term and no exit fee, because you should stay for the service and not the paperwork. Larger pieces of work get quoted separately before we start, never added quietly.

We don't publish prices because the honest answer depends on what you need, and a number on a page would either be meaningless or wrong. What we will do is give you a real one quickly — usually within a day or two of understanding the job.

Common questions

The things people ask before they commit.

We didn't build the site with you. Can you still take it on?

Yes — most of what we maintain we didn't build. We'd have a look first and tell you honestly whether it's in a state worth maintaining, because occasionally the right advice is to replace rather than prop up.

How quickly do you respond when something breaks?

Same working day for anything that stops your business operating, and within a couple of days for smaller things. We work hours that overlap yours, so you're not waiting overnight for a reply.

What if we've lost access to our own accounts?

That's a common starting point and usually recoverable. Getting you back in control of your domain, hosting and everything else is the first thing we do, and it's part of taking you on rather than an extra.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. It's month to month. If we stop being useful you should be able to leave, and we'll hand everything over properly if you do.

What's actually included each month?

Security and software updates, verified backups, uptime monitoring, speed checks, and small fixes and content changes. Anything larger gets quoted separately so you're never surprised by an invoice.

Do you fix things you broke?

Free, always, and that doesn't expire. If an update we applied causes a problem, that's ours to sort out. It's not a favour.

Can you make it faster?

Usually, yes, and often dramatically. Sites get slower as content and plugins accumulate. Speed work is sometimes a quick win included in the monthly, and sometimes a bigger job we'd quote for — we'll tell you which.
