The brief
What they were actually up against.
A website that works creates a problem the business did not have before: enquiries arriving faster than anyone is tracking them. Meetings and follow-ups were being held in inboxes and memory, which is fine at five conversations a month and quietly expensive at fifty. The team needed one place where every conversation lived, without buying a heavyweight sales platform priced for a company ten times their size.
What we built
The things that exist at the end.
- A private dashboard the team signs into, separate from the public website
- Sign-in built around a small named team rather than open registration
- Password recovery, so a forgotten login never means a support call
- A tracking view for meetings and follow-ups in one place
- Hosted on accounts in the client's name, like everything we build
Worth pointing at
The decisions that mattered.
Built for the team that exists
Sign-in is a list of the actual people who work there, not an open registration form. For a small team that is faster to use and harder to get wrong — nobody is guessing which email address they signed up with.
Sized to the business, not the sales deck
A large sales platform would have cost more per month than this did to build, and ninety per cent of it would have gone unused. Building the narrow thing that fits is usually cheaper than renting the wide thing that doesn't.
The natural sequel to the website
The same client, six months later. Getting more enquiries is only useful if they are followed up, and that is a different problem from getting found. It is common for one piece of work to reveal the next.
Where it is now
Live, and still running.
In daily use by the client's team. Because it is an internal tool, the link goes to a sign-in screen rather than a demo — which is exactly how a private business system should behave.
